IFA Berlin 2015

Asus

The ZenWatch 2 does not have the round screen of a lot of models unveiled at IFA 2015, but a rectangular AMOLED screen in 1.45-inch and 1.63-inch sizes. The all-metal watch has either 45 mm or 49 mm in colors of silver, gunmetal, and rose gold, not to mention an interesting array of straps to go with it.

As for what is inside it has a built-in pedometer without a heart-rate monitor. Not only is it IP67 rated, but it has two days of battery life on a single charge.

Motorola

Before IFA 2015, there were leaked documents suggesting that there will be two models of the Moto 360, the 360S and the 360L. Other rumored specs include 4GB of storage, 512 MB of RAM, a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, a heart-rate sensor, gyroscope, barometer, and accelerometer.

Much of the specs seem to match what we have heard with a larger 1.56 inch LCD display with 360 x 330 pixels and 233 ppi and smaller 1.37 inch LCD display with 360 x 325 pixels and 263 ppi. They also come complete with an AnyLight hybrid display, but the battery life is different than supposed with 400 mAh on the large and 300 mAh on the small. It also has a wireless charging support with a bundled cradle as well as a dual digital microphone.

The second generation of the Moto 360 is fully customizable in Moto Maker, allowing the user to choose up to 300 possible combinations of size, metal finish, body textures and accents, as well as the wristband.

In addition to the two different sizes, there will also be a Motorola 360 Sport, but it will not be available until later this year. There will also be a women’s version as well.

Huawei Watch

IFA 2015 made it official that the Huawei Watch is now available in the US. The Watch is made of steel and measures 42 mm in diameter with its circular screen and is quite light in weight.

It can be compared to the LG Watch Urbane as it has a 1.4-inch AMOLED screen with 400 x 400 px resolution and 286 ppi. The Huawei watch definitely has customization covered with black and rose colored stainless steel options available, as well as a plethora of bands. There really is a lot of class in this one.

Also included is a Snapdragon SoC with 512 MB of RAM, 6-axis gyroscope, accelerator, PPG hear rate sensor, barometer, microphone, and 300 mAh battery for 36 to 48 hours worth of usage (with a fast charge up to 45 minutes full).

Samsung

This company had their best foot forward with the Gear S2. It might not be as classy-looking as the other models, but it has 3G variants with an e-SIM card.

The rest of the features include a 1.2-inch super AMOLED screen, along with a lot of customizable color bands. The operating system is Tizen OS and not Android Wear.
