You might remember Pebble back in 2012, when it created an e-paper smartwatch that set a record for Kickstarter projects. Pebble is one of those companies that you can count on for a lot of great smartwatch products, and the Pebble Time Round smartwatch is the world’s lightest (28 grams) and thinnest (7.5 mm). Here’s our review.
Like most smartwatches, it is set up to give you notifications like calendar events, text messages, and even incoming calls at a quick glance.
As for the battery, it can carry up to two days of battery life on a single charge, and a full day of power can be attained with only 15 minutes of charging.
Buy a Pebble Time Round from Amazon.co.uk or from Amazon USA now for around £184.99/$249.99.
The Pebble Time Round has Quick-Change bands as well as downloadable watch face designs to match a watch to a particular look, and it is available in 5 signature styles on the face.
It is pretty clear that they intend to compete with a big company with a name that starts with an “A” and usually puts out products that start with an “i”, except their Watch. By the way, the Pebble Time Round doesn’t play nice with iOS, but it should do well with Android Wear products.
Verdict
A good looking watch that shows the company – and smartwatch industry – has come a long way. If you want something sleek and stylish and don’t want to get sucked into Apple’s world, this is your safest bet.
