Pebble has done a lot of things in the past. If you go to Pebble’s website right now, you can see some of their products like the Pebble Time and Pebble Watch, and one called Steel. As the website says, “sometimes you have to dress up”.
Pebble has actually had a Kickstarter for Time Steel, and they just announced the the production of their new smartwatch will be shipping to backers at the end of the month. This means that those that ordered the watch will be receiving it by the end of the month. It is possible that some backers will receive their metal bands in a separate shipment, rather than a leather and metal band bundled within the watch itself.
The Steel allows the user to have glanceable notifications emails, messages, and texts, as well as 7 days of battery life. It is also able to control your music with just the volume with a daylight readable display. You should be able to get a lot of interesting apps that are compatible with iOS and Android.
Eventually, the Time Steel is going to hit retail, and metal bands will be available as a separate purchase. The price is about $149.
