In case you haven’t heard, there was a huge consumer electronics trade show in Las Vegas on January 6-9 ~ Here is a round up of the best 10 smartwatches you can expect to see in 2015!
1. BURG Wearables
When I went to this booth, I saw a company with a vision. Not only does BURG ready to launch the first all stainless steel smartwatch with the BURG 27, but they have this desire to branch out and be represented with booths of their products at retail stores around the world.
This company has a terrific slogan of Function Meet Fashion. Their products are both Android and iOS compatible, waterproof to 165 feet, powered by Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and they have four models that look rather analog: the Classic, the Professional, the Sport, and the Expert.
These particular watches are also very analog in their look, and they are very simple to set up. There are small icons on the screen itself for notifications like email and texts, and they don’t require a whole lot of charging. They seem to be targeted to the active crowd, and they are water-resistant to 100 meters.
This is a relatively new company founded in 2013, and it is a Swiss company and it manufactures, designs, and develops wearable devices. The company has a goal to offer a complete range of connected watches, catering to the needs and tastes of the world’s various user types. Their smartwatches all start with a Ze of some kind like the ZeFit, ZeCircle, ZeBracelet2, ZeWatch2, ZeSplash, ZeClock, ZeTel, and ZePhone.
5. Alcatel Smartwatch
This particular smartwatch runs on the Alcatel proprietary, and can connect to any phone running Android 4.3 or iOS 7 and above. It has a pedometer and a shutter button for an accompanying smartphone camera.
6. Garmin Vivoactive
The popular GPS manufacturer is a GPS smartwatch for the active lifestyle allowing the user to “play harder, work smarter, and live better”.
7. Sony Smartwatch 3
This particular smartwatch has a “Star Trek” look that has a built-in GPS for sports apps as well as Sony’s Lifelog fitness software with pre-installed apps like iFit and Golfshot.
8. Lenovo Vibe Band VB10
You might notice that the link doesn’t go to Lenovo’s website, but the smartband has up to 7 days battery life. It also has alerts for phone, SMS, and social networks, and works with Android 4.4 and more.
9. Garmin Fenix 3
This is another offering from Garmin, and it is essentially a GPS smartwatch. Not only is it capable of smart syncing for notifications and calendar syncing, but there are a lot of various sports-related features for this high-priced smartwatch.
10. Withings Activite Pop
This smartwatch connects with Withings HealthMate app to track activity, not to mention sleep. It has a very simplistic analog design reminiscent of Swatch’s Swiss-made design.
